Andy Field - Co-Founder of AARoads.com

 |
Andy Field grew up in the Chicago area, then moved to Wyoming and onward to California through his college and graduate school years. His parents noticed that Field was proficient in reading road signs before he would read a book; they began to rely on him to provide directions. Even his uncle was impressed with the elementary school kid who could tell him how to drive from Seattle to Boston via Interstate 90.
To cultivate his hobby, Field created a webpage in 1997, following the example of other pioneer road enthusiasts. Field developed the Wyoming Highways page and Interstate Pictures page, and that developed into a site that Alex Nitzman co-founded on July 19, 2000.

This new site, AARoads, has since expanded into eight separate domains, with six of them focusing on a specific area of the country. Through the early 2000s, other contributors cultivated relationships with Alex and Andy, including Justin Cozart, Kevin Trinkle, and Carter Buchanan.
Field studied business and political science at the University of Wyoming, and he obtained a Masters in Business Administration at San Diego State University. In his spare time, Andy enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and singing in the rain on cool-ass, green truss bridges in rain-soaked states.
