A. Nitzman Map Portfolio

Profiled below are some examples of highway maps created by Alex Nitzman. Most maps used on AARoads are resized to fit within our template and to cut down on loading time. Those below are in their larger format for legibility.

Maps created with ArcMap:

  1. Cecil County, Maryland (zoomify) - compiled data from various sources, built from a larger geodatabase covering northeast Maryland and annotated within ARCMap.
  2. Courtland, NY (1.19 mb) - extract from Courtland, NY map utilizing Z-level symbology.
  3. Harper County, OK (pdf) - map built with Tigerfiles.
  4. Louisville, Kentucky (7.5 mb) - custom map for client.
  5. Mobile, Alabama (zoomify) - Mobile area map extracted from a larger geodatabase built for the upper Gulf Coast.
  6. Oahu, Hawaii (zoomify) - shaded relief extracted from USGS Seamless Server, road data built from Hawaii DOT shapefiles.
  7. Washington, DC (zoomify) - map built with Tigerfiles, historical alignments shapefile created.

  10. Dixie County, Florida (pdf) - sample map page where I digitized rural roads from USGS topos.
  11. Baldwin County, Alabama (pdf) - zip codes and general highway map for the entire county.
  12. Prichard, Alabama (pdf) - sample map page for a street atlas covering all of Mobile County; all research and cartographic work completed by myself on this project.
