AARoads has been a consistent learning experience for all of us. When we created the additional domains, we were limited by our hosting company in how much space and bandwidth we were allocated. So we branched out with new domains on different packages and different hosting companies, to allow us to expand our content. That seemed to be the best way to handle it then, but now we have learned better.

Nowadays hosting companies offer much more space, bandwidth, multiple domain support, etc. and for more affordable prices. Had it been like that years ago, we would have never had the need to add all of those extra domains. Unfortunately that was then and this is now, and we are still running with all of those extra domains with similarly designed looks and content. Bringing AARoadtrips and LoneStarRoads back under the AARoads domain is one step we've taken toward changing that.

I understand that the navigation still leaves a lot to be desired, and I'm not certain as to how best to handle that given the wide scope of the some of the core AARoads pages such as the High Priority Corridors listing and the Kick-off page. The sitemap, for what its worth, will list every page on the AARoads domain in one place in the meantime.

As far as the bridge flash movie, my brother created that for the 2004-site redesign and we are not quite ready to trash his hard work just yet. I appeciate all of your feedback on this though.

To be brutally honest it is still quite difficult to navigate the site. I appreciate the improvement. Though I dare say it didn't go far enough.
I never understood the concept of different domains which costs money while I don't see the benefit. All the pages had a consistent appearance. Which is basically good. However, it makes it even less understandable why this site is subdivided so much. I'm still lost in the inconvenience of navigating between the sites.
And by the way that animated image of an suspension bridge drives me mad.
Beyond my critics I have to applaud you for providing some much and excellent content. It is just the navigation I'm not particularly happy with.
