Note: Red shields indicate Future Interstates, Grey shields indicate unsigned Interstates, Black shields indicate terminated Interstates (highway must have been traveled upon while actually signed as the said Interstate). Green shields are also included for the three full Business Loop Freeways (80 in California, 40 in North Carolina, and 85 in South Carolina). Yellow backgrounds indicate that all of a state's mileage has been driven or rode upon (this requires just the signed and unsigned Interstates currently included in the Federal Highway Administration Route Log and Finder List; future, terminated, and business routes are not required for this field).
