If memory serves, 407 actually did have a circle shield for several years- evidently they changed it back. Agreed that it's not wrong to have it be a pentagon, but I think it was at one point a circle shield on Google Maps.

Not an erroneous highway, but knowing where Google is from, I'm not surprised North Korea appears as 북한 (Bukhan) instead of 조선 (Joseon).
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

Not a highway, but for some reason, Flint Road/Corsbie Street in Decatur isn't marked with a line showing the street, even though it exists and is open (as of a couple weeks ago). This error has been around for at least a month, I think.

It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

I saw IL-000 somewhere in Google Maps. It was one of those insanely high US highway number links.

Caught this by chance while checking out the Dalton Highway, looks like the oil pipeline counts as an interstate now :-P.

I got a little confused, but if you look in streetview, that interstate is indeed a pipeline and not a road.  :-D

Baja California State Route - though both are nationally drawn in Mexico, they DO have different shield designs

Does any state highway in Mexico have the other shield design? Baja California 2 is flagged as a state route, while MX 2D is flagged as a federal route, so the data appears to be correct. Google may just not have an icon for the other shield design.

Here's a 2012 bug thread discussing the "US <number> in <distant state>" bug.

Man, that brings back all the fun laughing @ Google over that. :)

According to Google, US 3 turns into MA 3 in Burlington at I-95/MA 128. (The actual place where it switches is approximately ten miles south.)
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Google maps thinks NY-198 is limited access, even at the light

Google says 1000 Islands Parkway bordering the St. Lawrence is Highway 2. It was Highway 2S at one time, but that was gone by 1970.

Google doesn't know that Cline Avenue is being demolished currently and isn't currently being replaced. Hopefully it doesn't try to direct drivers into the closed road-

https://www.google.ca/maps/@41.6514452,-87.46643,16.14z

Google also thinks that I-290 after the Shit Circle Interchange is actually I-290.

https://www.google.ca/maps/@41.8757235,-87.6407927,17.45z

Google also thinks Keystone Avenue in Caramel, Indiana is limited access.

https://www.google.ca/maps/@39.9218653,-86.1116853,16.01z

And last but not least we have the US 31 freeway in Westfield, Indiana between E 181st Street and E 196th street being fully limited access.

In Columbus, Google seems to think OH 3 follows Broad St between 3rd/4th and Cleveland Ave; in reality, it follows Spring/Long.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

iBallasticwolf2

Google Maps seems to think that the Humelsine Parkway is fully limited access and while parts are not all of it is.

Both expressways and freeways show up in orange currently. Humelsine Parkway, Keystone, US 31, and NY 198 all qualify as expressways and are marked as such.

US71

I've seen incorrect highways on weather radar, such as I-71 and I-271 in Arkansas.

Despite the links looking the same, they are actually different. Trust me.

The links don't look the same. I can easily see that the coordinates (approximately 40°N, 77°W) are different for each link.

No google, if a road gets a center stripe, does not mean it is a divided highway!

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Penhar+St,+Harrisburg,+PA+17111/@40.2489009,-76.8057822,19z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x89c8bf6d554f68c1:0x6bde2ff64877d999
That's actually a Google policy.  I presume that's because it's illegal to turn left across the stripe in at least a few jurisdictions (including California).
Please note: All comments here represent my own personal opinion and do not reflect the official position of NYSDOT or its affiliates.

dfwmapper

It's actually against Google's policy, which indicates that divided roads should only be mapped as separate one-way roads when the division is for an extended distance. For something short like that, there's a separate 'Divider' attribute that can be set on the road that will prevent directions from telling people to turn left across it. But, several years back, Google hired a team of monkeys who went around and split instances like that, and it's all but impossible to get them fixed (and currently impossible to do anything, since Map Maker is disabled until sometime in August).

I thought it was "temporarily" disabled forever. Is it actually coming back?

Yes, they announced a few days ago that it's coming back in early August, and also that they're planning to shift primary review duties to the community with only certain things needing review by them (no specifics provided on where the dividing line will be).
