I just joined the other day. The funny thing is that I've used AAroads for about nine years now. NINE years, and I never even bothered to join the forum. Maybe it was because I was too young then and thought that I wouldn't fit in here (I'm turning 22 in a month). I've been to all fifty states, and I did that by the age of fifteen (Kansas was my 50th). I always took summer road trips (two weeks in July, my brother, me, and my father) annually from the time I was seven to the age of eighteen. I guess all of that instilled me with a fascination of roads, highways, atlases, you name it. This has always been one of the things that I love to discuss and I'm glad that I found a place with people who share the same love for such things. I like to go on AAroads practically every day, read articles and brush up on current affairs concerning roads (like the Bella Vista Bypass, I-49 completion, etc.), the extension of I-85 into western Alabama, and the creation of I-495 in North Carolina (I use that road alot to go visit family, so it'll be nice to see it instead of US 64/264).  :nod:

Anyway, as noted, thank you for this wonderful site and for giving me a place that I can talk about all of this stuff. I'm so happy to be a member of this forum and I will always try to contribute my input, join in conversations, etc. Oh yeah, and make friends. That works too.  :D

All 50 states? Damn! I'm 43 and have only reached 18 of them and Washington DC. :(
