I was looking at a PA state tourist map and saw that there is a Bus I-376 in Allegheny County.  When did this come about?  How well is this signed.  Is the BUS LOOP I-83 still around in York, PA?

Alex

Business Loop I-83 is alive and well:

Business Loop I-376 was designated on November 6, 2009:

I-376 in that area used to be PA 60, and the business route was Bus PA 60.  When the I-376 designation came, so did Bus I-376.

So...further north to Mansfield PA, when the US 15 freeway becomes I-99, will Bus US 15 become Bus I-99?   And will everyone be green with envy over a green I-99 shield???  :)

Here's one of the Business I-376 route markers, photographed near the Pittsburgh airport.

Is Pennsylvania the only Northeastern state that has "business" Interstates?

Yes, but there were two others posted at one point:

Business Loop I-89 at Lebanon, NH and Business Spur I-495 into Lowell, MA.

There is also Spur I-270 and Spur I-895 in Maryland, but they are not Business Routes.

Additionally "Interstate 495X" exists in Maryland, which is an unsigned connector along Cabin John Parkway outside D.C.

Aww, crap. I guess that means I don't have Maryland's interstates clinched after all.  :ded: :banghead:

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Forgot about that entry from Michael Summa, you are correct:

QuoteThere was also a BUS-SPUR 95 signed in CT (in the early to mid-1970s) at or near Mystic.
