This is an abandoned chunk of Montana highway approximately east of Drummond along I-90 as seen in the highlight. It could very well be Old US 10. Could this abandoned chunk be Old US 10? Or is it a primary or secondary Montana highway?
Finally upgraded to Expressway after, what, seven or so years on this forum? Took a dadgum while, but, I made it!

I wonder if your segment is US-10, or if the segment to the south of the road is.  my guess is the north segment is the original route, and the south one reflects a straightening.

I was just thinking the same thing. I opened up OSM and discovered "Old Hwy", but I may assume for the sake of debate believe that this is the original US 10 alignment before I-90 sliced through.

The one to the south was US 10, and presumably the one to the north is original US 10.

Fortunately, somebody who has easy access to the road histories of every single cow path in this part of the state posts on this forum- I'll do some research on it tomorrow and let you know.

The 'road' to the south of I-90 there is the former Milwaukee Road 'Pacific Extension' transcontinental mainline railroad grade, abandoned in 1980.  The roadway in question in the O.P. is indeed the original routing of US 10 and before then was part of the Yellowstone Trail http://www.yellowstonetrail.org .

It's not the immediate pre-Interstate routing, per the topo I linked.
