That answers my question about the US 395 themed beer.  I didn't catch the previous topic when I was looking for a thread this morning, so I should ask for a mod to properly move the thread into the Road-Themed Beers thread.

Yes, anything the federal government creates is PD. I believe the MUTCD makes it explicitly so as well. State road shields are kind of iffy but it seems like an unlikely target for litigation so it probably wouldn't be much to worry about.

Just ask the people at Broneah Kiteboarding who received a trademark in the M-22 marker, and then sued someone selling M-119 stickers for trademark dilution in federal court. The Michigan MUTCD explicitly puts those markers in the PD and says they can't be covered by a trademark, but it's apparently up to the US Patent & Trademark Office whether or not they want to grant a trademark anyway.

Funny this topic should pop up again. Yesterday I saw that the Anderson Valley göse that was so popular this past summer has a California route 128 sign on the front of the can.

For Thanksgiving weekend, I was in Luverne, Minnesota, where they now have Take 16 brewery, named for the former US 16 which went through there.  I have no idea how good their beer is, as I don't drink anymore.
MORE FUN THAN HUMANLY THOUGHT POSSIBLE

Today I was at Night Shift Brewing for the release of Santilli, their new main IPA going forward.  It is named for the ironically-named Santilli Highway–the short, narrow, two-lane industrial street the brewery is on.

Here's a Napa Valley cab with a pun name and the obvious choice for a highway marker:

My first SF/horror short story collection is available: "Young Man, Open Your Winter Eye"

I enjoyed this one when I was in Oregon a couple months ago.  That says 75 IBU.  I believe Silver Moon's main brewery is in Redmond, OR and they also do some brewing at their pub in Bend.

Triton Brewery has an IPA called 15th and college.  I don't like it because i don't like IPAs.  :-D

I didn't at first (and they're still not usually my first choice). But, like beer in general, they're an acquired taste, if at all.

I recently encountered I-87 beer from update New York, and made this video review :D

Quite interested to read about other route-themed beers.

Both Wild Wolf and Blue Mountain breweries have named beers after VA 151, the road they're on.

Olive Garden must be stopped.  I must stop them.

Don't @ me. Seriously.

Coachella Valley Brewery has an interstate logo, but no numbers, it has the company initials "CVB".

Get your kicks...on Route 99! Like to turn 66 upside down. The other historic Main street of America.

The Flying Fish NJ Turnpike Exit Series Beers.  Started brewing around 2009.  The NJ Turnpike was never too excited about the beer's branding.
Didn't the NJTA file a lawsuit? I vaguely remember something about it

Tupps Brewery in McKinney, TX has a "Northbound 75" (for US 75) which is a pale ale infused with 'fire roasted peppers and spices'.  I've seen it in stores, but haven't tried it yet.  I'm afraid any 'peppers and spices' will not end well for me -_-

Well, the biggest local brewery where I live is Boulevard Brewing and it is named for Southwest Boulevard, which is a road.

So I'd say everything they make counts.

Don't drink and drive, folks.

Proceed with caution

This isn't exactly road-themed, but if you're feeling more like a railroad theme, Goose Island has a popular pale ale called "Green Line."

Not sure why, but Sweetwater Brewing uses a highway shield for its "420" beer?  Probably just to distract from the obvious allusion.

I did a search for "Route" on the Untappd app and this is what came up:

50 West Brewing is in Cincinnati. However, it's on Wooster Pike, which is US 50 EAST of downtown.

Also, there is West Sixth in Lexington, KY, so named because it is on West 6th Street.

Found this on a menu at Jolly Pumpkin Brewery, on the Old Mission Peninsula just north of Traverse City, MI.  The eponymous M-37 runs the length of the Old Mission Peninsula, which I drove through in a snowstorm...

Saw this earlier today. It's from New Jersey, obviously, and I thought to myself that this isn't exactly the area I'd want to promote.

"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."

commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

This one from Delaware was in a Costco box of craft beers (that was on offer, and meant cheap quality beer). Odd, as most of the rest in the box weren't American*, but (while I'm not a huge fan of New World Hops), it was fine. Nothing special, but decent enough - like the rest of the box!

Other than the badge/name, no other road theming.

*four Scottish (Fraoch, Brewdog, Bellhaven, Goldfinch), two American (Fordham, Goose Island), one Burton (Martson's), one London (Young's), one Yorkshire (North) and the other three all from Bowman Ales in Hampshire. Branded as 'Winter', but only a couple were actually wintery.

I did a search for "Route" on the Untappd app and this is what came up:

Sly Fox Brewing makes the Route 113 IPA, or as PennDOT would call it:  SR 0113 IPA.

Their location on PA 113 (hence the inspiration for the beer) was the site of the 2010 SEPA Meet.  They may know how to make a beer, but they can't take a reservation or split a check properly.

My sister gave me some M-43 from Old Nation Brewing in Williamston MI for Christmas because she knew I once lived on M-43.

Yeah, so their logo is not authentic but their beer is good.

Double Nickel in Pennsauken, NJ gets its name from the former toll at the nearby Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.  When the bridge first opened, the toll was a nickel.  When the toll doubled to 10 cents, many people referred to it as the double nickel.

7 Mile Brewery is in Rio Grande, NJ.

Jughandle Brewing is in Tinton Falls, NJ.

Eight and Sand, in Woodbury, NJ, gets its name from a railroad term.

Here's two breweries named after ancient roads (I'm sure there's more):
https://www.watlingstreetbeer.com - named after the premier Roman Road in Britain 'Watling Street'*
http://www.ridgewaybrewery.co.uk/uk.html - named after Britain's oldest road - that was superseded before the Romans came** (now a long-distance national footpath). Also 'Ridgeway' lends its name to (this beer).

And, not beer, but rather cider (or rather drinks which use fermented apple juice as a base, but all but one don't taste of apples after they've been through the pretentiousness process) 101 Cider in Westlake Village, CA (which is on US101 at the western edge of LA County) has US101 shields on most.

I'm getting deja vu. I've found the other thread where I posted much of this before, but couldn't find earlier https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=18791

*OK, it's at least two, and the basic route of them were pre-Roman. But it's been treated as one route for a long long time - at least from the time ~1000 years ago when Edward the Confessor declared it a King's Highway with Royal protection for travelers, and the king responsible for maintaining it.
** By Ickneld Way, another of Edward's 4 King's Highways that inspired George RR Martin to have Jaehaerys to build a network of roads in the 7 kingdoms of Westeros, most notably the Kingsroad.
