I didn't know they had a competition and I also didn't know there was a "People's Choice" aspect to it as well.

CT DOT took top honors for the completion of the new Q-Bridge in New Haven as well as the reconstructed and widened I-95/I-91/CT-34 interchange.

FL DOT won the "People's Choice" for the Eller Drive Intermodal Container Transfer Facility Overpass project.

FDOT and other DOT's had been tweeting for followers to vote for their respective projects throughout the fall. Several good ones were nominated this year, and the Q Bridge was against the I-635 LBJ Express, which is equally a significant accomplishment.

Kentucky had an entry a couple of years ago. Unfortunately there's no way to limit the number of votes one person can cast, so we lost to Florida in a blatant case of ballot-box stuffing.


Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.
