There was a Temp US 70 in Arkansas that was real long and lasted for a long time.

Right now there is a Temporary US 18 in Waukesha, WI.  The route is set up so US 18 within the City of Waukesha can be transferred to the city before the permanent alignment on the under construction West Waukesha Bypass can be completed.

The topic seems obscure enough to salvage.  Few US-T routes would have been as crazy as US 60T in Arizona which ran along the original alignment of AZ73:

Today this route is difficult to find out in the San Carlos Reservation and AZ 73 as long since been realigned.  This map specifically is from 1935 a couple years after US 60 was extended to Los Angeles.

Didn't we have TEMP US 89 in AZ recently after a landslide closed the actual route?

Yep, Navajo Route 20 to be specific.  ADOT even went ahead and paved the route for the tribe so it could be used for US 89 traffic to Page.

Thanks for the reminder. I drove by the south end in early 2016. By then, the closed segment of regular US 89 had reopened, and the Temp US 89 signs had been removed. Since I had already driven the once-closed segment of US 89 (north of the Alt US 89 junction), pre-closure, I didn't re-drive it to look for Temp US 89 signage at the north end, nor did I drive the temporary route itself.

For several decades US 26 between Mountain Home and Carey, ID was also signed as "Temporary US 20".  During the late '60's a cutoff near Picabo from the state highway linking Carey with Bellevue (on ID 75/former US 93) connecting to what is now the US 20 alignment through Fairfield and Hill City was constructed, and US 20 was designated along that route (IIRC, the portion from Mountain Home to ID 75 was originally ID 68).

They are signed as "To" US 395/50:

Going back to the whole US 89 landslide in Arizona, I forgot ADOT had a timelapse of the repairs:

I thought at one point they were signed as "temporary" but I could be mistaken. Google maps shows fairview drive as US 395/50 T, but as we all know Google maps isn't always 100% accurate.

Speaking of Fairview DR.  While it is being used as a temporary US 395/50 does NDOT maintain the road? Or is it still under city maintenance?

Now that the construction is over I thought that route has been removed.

Although approved by AASHTO as temporary routes, they have never been signed as such–they've only been signed as "TO".

IIRC, the current "Temp" designations (as submitted to AASHTO) apply to both the Fairview Drive section and the original routing on Carson Street between Fairview Drive and the south US 395/50 junction. However, only the portion on Fairview Drive is posted with "TO" banners.

It is owned and maintained by Carson City. The city completed a project circa 2008 to repave/widen Fairview Drive (I believe *without* financial assistance from NDOT), for the express purpose of accommodating the temporary traffic before the Carson City Freeway segment down to Fairview was completed in fall 2009.
