I found a US 50S sign in the KSHS online photo archives:

where did you get those fonts?  they're not quite mine, but they're close...

The KANSAS font should be slightly taller, but more importantly, the letters are wider/thicker so that there's not the space between them.  The letters look a little sharp - need smoother edges (the rest of the shield looks better).

Version 2.0 of the graphic shield, based closer on the actual photo, as well as some help from the Shield Generator.
