The NE got hit with Winter Storm Niko. Here in Central NJ, we got only a few inches. Not to mention very windy and freezing. All the cars, even mine were all cleaned off! I didn't have to shovel or anything.

And just what we need....another 4-8" of snow and sleet on top of the 15" we got the other day :ded:  This should put Bradley Airport past Buffalo, NY for the winter.

A warm-up on the way here. Should hopefully melt some of the snow.

Calm before the storm. Looking at another 10-15 inches tomorrow into Monday. If this forecast is right, Albany will get more snow than all of last winter in two separate 24-hour periods within a week's span.

Wunderground says 6-11 inches for my zip code, anyway.  We'll see.

I love it when weather stations go awry (from tonight):

While y'all are getting snow & cold, we are running air conditioners and enjoying muggy 80°+ warmth & a mix of sun & clouds. But the weatherman is predicting a cold front to come thru today. This week's temps will be 50s & 60s for highs & 40s & 50s for lows. Then back to warm spring weather.

Shreveport set a new record high for Feb. 11: 86°, beating out 81° from 1999.

It's warmed up into the high 40s / low 50s here, with sunshine breaking through occasional rainstorms. I miss the one day of snowfall we got.

8" of snow thus far, on our way to somewhere in the 12-16" range...

roadman

Started snowing here in Wakefield (MA) just before noon.  Expecting a total of 8 to 14 inches by the time the storm wraps up mid to late afternoon on Monday.

50 degrees and partly cloudy today. The weekend was great with highs near 70 on Saturday and 62 Sunday midday before the bottom fell out.

The Baltimore area had its first severe thunderstorm warning of 2017 at about 11PM Sunday night, February 12. It was then partly cloudy but windy on Monday.

We have an old saying down here:  if it thunders in February, it will frost in April. Today, Feb. 14, it thundered about 12:45 this afternoon. Now let's see what April will bring us.

The past few days have been unseasonably warm, and all of our snow has melted. Today is a high of 16 C (60 F)!

Looking forward to some local severe weather in February  5 days of 60+ degree weather has been fantastic. Now I get a 48 hour changeover from 60 degrees and severe weather to 30 degrees and snow
The local weatherman, trust me I can be 99.9% right!

Almost 70 and relatively sunny. 2 feet of snow is virtually gone and the plow mounds are shrinking fast.

Sunny and gorgeous in the lower-to-mid 60's. Snow is melting like nobody's business. It'll be like this for the next couple of days, woohoo!

I hear that Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which is about 35 miles to my northeast, got hit pretty bad by Saturday's storms.

A bit of snow this morning, despite projections that lowland snow would be less likely this time around.

MNHighwayMan

Still unseasonably warm (and sunny!) for this time of year. Can't really argue with it.

I was under a severe thunderstorm warning this afternoon, but all we really got was just some rain. It was in the lower 70s temperature-wise. They say March comes in like a lion and it sure did for me this year.
