I was trying to sleep at midnight when it happened. I noticed my phone light up for a few seconds. I thought that it lit up every midnight every time, and that I just hadn't noticed it before (I am usually asleep well before midnight). The next day, realized that that wasn't the case. I noticed that it was a "breaking news" story being posted at 11:53 PM, and it took 7 minutes to get to me. (I have a radio/CD player/clock hybrid visible from my bed, so I knew what time it was when it lit up even without picking up the phone.)
