Albany stack with Us 9 & I-90

Does anybody know more about the US9 & I-90 stack? It looks like the US 9 part was supposed to be something bigger.  Also of note: 2 4-level stacks on I-90 about a mile a part!

Lets see if I have my Albany knowledge correct. There was supposed to be a freeway running from there down through downtown down to around where I-787 ends at I-87/NY Thruway exit 23.

Yes, it would have met with the South Mall Expressway (the one that crosses the stub bridge at I-787 Exit 4) in an underground interchange under the park west of the mall.  There's also a high-powered 3Y interchange nearby that would have been I-687, now just a corporate park.
