Part of it includes some base failure repairs, so that will necessitate long-term lane closures. I commuted from Winchester to Frankfort every day when they were doing the repaving in the mid-1990s and traffic was down to one lane 24-7 then.

It looks like the widening in Shelby County is finally complete, as the 70 mph speed limit has been reinstated between Shelbyville and Simpsonville.
