If I'm not mistaken, I-295, although from what I read it was originally I-78.

North Fulton County Medical Center/now Hospital -- which is located on GA 9/120, and not too far from GA 400/US 19

Given that I-196 wasn't there yet, and US-131 had been rerouted to the East Beltline, it would be Bus US-131.

Don't want business routes?  Then probably M-37.

Great Lakes Roads

The hospital that I was born is right on Indiana State Road 933/Business 31...

I am inactive for a while now my dudes. Good associating with y'all.

US Highways: 36, 49, 61, 412.

Interstates: 22, 24, 44, 55, 57, 59, 72, 74 (West).

It was CT 71A at the time.  Also at the time, CT 72 followed CT 372, as the CT 72 expressway was under construction.  With the truncation of CT 71A, it would now be about a 4 way tie among CT 71, CT 71A, CT 72, and CT 372 (not counting SR 555).

Interstate: I-84 (although the proposed I-291 hadn't been killed/demoted to CT 9 yet)
US Route: About a tie between US 5 and US 6 (city I was born in does not have a US route)
New Bri-oh sorry
Yeah, that city has a US Route....US 6, that clips through in the western side.

For me, a three-way between CT 2/CT 32, and CT 169.

US-190. I highly doubt it was in anything remotely resembling its current configuration back then, especially considering as how my mom said our town still had a fair number of unpaved streets at the time.

I thought about answering the OP literally. The question is whether you know what the closest numbered highway to where you were born is, so my answer is "yes."

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"

Nope.  US 6 goes up through Farmington and straight into West Hartford on I-84.  Have to get off on CT 9 and go down by Target and Costco to clip New Britain.  Used to follow New Britain Avenue back in the day.

Backus's address is on CT 2/32
Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

Oh yeah, I forgot that US 6 ever splits off of I-84 in Connecticut beyond Hartford
Also the edge of the parking lot makes it almost to the intersection with CT 2/32 and CT 169.

CR 549 Spur is closest signed numbered highway.  However it was on CR 634.

Closest State highway is NJ SR 88

I don't need a GPS.  I AM the GPS! (for family and friends)

In Indiana, either SR 32 or US 35, though 35 is not on the same route today. The routes were equidistant from the hospital.

OracleUsr

Either US 129 or US 11 (Fort Sanders Presbyterian Hospital in Knoxville, TN).  Looks like US 11 is the closest.

I was born at what was then (1971) New Britain General Hospital, now The Hospital Of Central Connecticut. CT Route 72 is north of it. CT Route 71 is a few blocks east of it. CT Route 71A once got as close as 2 blocks, before that road was truncated to end at Buell Street in New Britain's south end. I-84 is further west, by the Plainville town line.
