For cities that don't have an official beltway, suggest a route for us that would serve the same purpose. Try to stick to existing freeways, where it is possible and practical to do so.

Hartford (Clockwise):

Start at CT 9 and CT 175 in Newington.  Fenn Rd./West Hartford Rd.  Becomes Newington Rd at West Hartford line.  Newington Rd, South Main St, North Main St, becomes CT 218 at US 44.  CT 218 East into and through Bloomfield and into Windsor.  I-291 East from Windsor through South Windsor to Manchester, I-384, CT 83 South from Manchester into Glastonbury, CT 94 West, CT 2 West, CT 3 South into Wethersfield, I-91 South from Wethersfield through Rocky Hill into Cromwell, CT 9 North from Cromwell through Berlin and New Britain into Newington to Exit 29 (CT 175).

Springfield, MA (Clockwise, starting in Agawam):

MA 57 West from the Agawam rotary to Southwick, MA 10/US 202 North from Southwick through Westfield into Eashampton, US 202 North from Easthampton through Holyoke into South Hadley, MA 33 South from South Hadley into Chicopee, MA 141 East from Chicopee to Indian Orchard, MA 21 South to US 20, continuing on Parker St., then Cooley St into East Longmeadow, becoming Elm St.  Cross through the East Longmeadow rotary onto MA/CT 220 South into Enfield, then I-91 South for one exit, CT 190 West into Suffield, and CT/MA 159 to River St, returning to the Agawam rotary.

Worcester, MA (Clockwise, starting in Sturbridge):

Start at I-84 and US 20 in Sturbridge.  US 20 East to MA 49 North to Spencer, MA 9 East to MA 31, MA 31 North through Paxton and Holden to Princeton, MA 140 South through West Boyleston and Boyleston to Shrewsbury, US 20 West, MA 146 South into Sutton, MA 16 West through Douglas to Webster, MA 12, MA/CT 197 into Thompson, CT/MA 131 into Southbridge then Sturbridge, short jog on US 20 East to I-84.

Providence Full Belt (Clockwise, starting in Warwick):

I-295 (entire length), I-95 North, I-495 South, MA/RI 24 South, RI 138 South/West, US 1 North, RI 4 North, I-95 to I-295.
Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

I don't consider Detroit to have a "true" beltway. I-275 to I-696 could cover it but for longer distance travel using U.S. 23 between Flint and Perrysburg, Ohio could be considered a bypass of Detroit. U.S. 23 is an expressway for the entire stretch.

Los Angeles: I-210 east to I-605, I-605 south to I-405, I-405 north to I-5, and I-5 north to I-210.

As any suggested beltway-style route would come through the downtowns of Seattle and Chicago, I'd leave those two alone.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Since freeways in general were specified rather than solely Interstates, a more useful L.A. beltway would include CA 118 between I-405 and I-210, eliminating the need to use I-5 as a connector -- and saving several miles!  Also -- if one wanted to expand the beltway concept a bit, instead of using I-605 as the N-S east side connector, CA 22 from I-405 to CA 57, and CA 57 from CA 22 to I-210 would work as well, taking traffic a bit farther afield from downtown L.A.

Chicago - clockwise from South Holland - 294, 94, 43, U.S. 10, U.S. 31, 196, 94, 80/94.  :spin:

Well, for Philly, starting from 476's southern terminus, it's I-476 North, I-276 East, NJ Turnpike South, US 322 West, and I-95 North.
Trenton, NJ looks like it has a beltway, but the interstates that it uses don't all interchange with each other. One of them is being worked on, while the other isn't planned, so here's the best route:
From I-276 US 1 North, I-95 North, I-295 South, (optionally Florence Columbus Rd), US 130 South, NJ Turnpike PA Extension West, I-276 West.
