I haven't posted in the bridges section before, but I signed up on LaDOTD'S website as a member and found this:  http://wwwsp.dotd.la.gov/Inside_LaDOTD/Divisions/Engineering/Historic_Bridge_Marketing/Pages/default.aspx

How is ownership supposed to change between the state and someone else when, most likely, the DOTD will want to build a new bridge on the same alignment?   :hmmm:  IMHO, moving the bridge from the current location takes away part of its historic significance.
Runnin' roads and polishin' rails.
