Here's a humorous sign tree of (air) distances from Prudhoe Bay AK in 1994. Part of the joke is that Arco's am/pm c-store/gas stations have relatively low-priced gas, nothing like the ridiculous gas prices just south of the Arctic Ocean.

Prudhoe Bay is a company town, and Arco was one of the companies. I'm assuming the sign was posted by company employees, or someone with permission to use the Arco company logo.
