I guess so. Best part about your challenge though is that I can use a picture I just took today. :)

I know I'm doing a lot of history related events, but I'm trying to mix things up. I probably should've done a challenge on June 29th for the 61st anniversary of the Interstate Highway System.

It's okay if you miss one. I have 6000 road-related photos; they're not always going to qualify.

I have 7300 and still can't fulfill some of these challenges.

You realize it doesn't have to be your own photos, right? You can use StreetView or any other photo to which you have access.

That's definitely new since the Corridor H Road Meet.

Yep. West Virginia finally fully signed US 48, including over the existing concurrency with US 219, either late last year or earlier this year. I got this photo the first weekend of July.

I can't speak for others but I enjoy playing these challenges with only my own photos for, you know, the challenge. :)

So the fact that I decorate my basement walls with them doesn't count?

Correct.  Standard shields used as decorations or showing on t-shirts, travel mugs, keychains, etc. don't count.  I'm looking for actual roadsigns (need not be official) in a decorative or other unusual rendering.

Here's an IL-88 sign posted as decor inside Tanner's Orchard, at the southeast corner of the southeast junction of IL-40 and IL-17 in western Marshall County, IL.  IL-40 used to be known as IL-88, but when I-88 got its designation, IDOT didn't want two highways of the same number meeting at a junction.  So they changed IL-88 to its old designation, IL-40.  This happened in the 90s, and apparently this apple orchard got to keep two of the old signs and put them up on their interior walls.  This is one of those two signs.  There is no current IL-88 designation.
