That's legit. "El Camino Real" means "The Royal Road", so removing "El" (the) and "Camino" (road) leaves you with "Real".

But could you be more specific about the location? My guess is somewhere along the California coast, but I don't remember seeing such signs there, and there could be other Spanish royal roads in other states.

The sign I played is in Natchitoches Parish, LA. I looked up Camino Real and found that there were multiple Caminos Real in North America, apparently not all connected. This particular route ran from Guerrero, Mexico to Natchitoches, LA. I will edit my post to reflect the correct jurisdiction.

All other Caminos Real that haven't been played and are signed are still playable.

Sumner Road → W Redwing Street (Duluth, MN - it baffles me that it's called "Redwing" and not "Red Wing," like the city, since the E/W streets in this neighborhood are named after Minnesota cities.)
