Hello All!

I have taken it upon myself to further my school's presents within the Fort Smith community, and I have started the idea to adopt a section of Arkansas 255.

I have been in touch with the AHTD to get the wheels rolling on this endevour, so I'll keep this updated!

Thanks!
Well, that's just like your opinion man...

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

I don't think they teach that subject in school anymore NE2.

I thought it was "Annual Gift Man" now since it was the most literal and unoffensive name possible:

Interesting that the OP picked the English version of "Endeavor/Endeavour" in the original post given the obvious typo.

What does adopting a state highway in Arkansas entail?  I'm assuming it is probably roadside cleanup and the other usual stuff most states do with highway adoption.  Some states give out a cool highway sign and post one along the road saying something about who adopted that segment of road.

Go west of Massard Rd because everything east of there will be buried under the dirt once the road is widened ;)

I have heard talk of widening 255, but with all the shit AHTD is burried under within District 4? I don't know if they will get to it any time soon!
How many lanes is purposed? From 2 to 4? Or 3?

They'll pamper us with a roadside sign and give us recognition with a certificate at the one year anniversary. So, not much, but enough.

What does the 5 intel? 2 traffic lanes, one turn lane and then two traffic lanes for the other side?

99/100 times, yes. Very rarely do you see more than 2+2 (New work anyways) with no centerlane

Now that I read that question, it's stupid, but I was leaving the turn lane to be either center, left or right side of the road, so not entirely!

Well it's already 2+1+2 west of the Wal-Mart Distribution Center, except at the water park where there's a right turn lane for WB traffic.

So, I having been trying to see what I can do about possible opportunities to intern or help out around AHTD District 4 area. But, that'll be 2018 or I'd hae to be enrolled in a college.

When they widened Massard Road, they should've of extended the right turn lane to the intersection.
