Not really a surprise since I use Public transit too. Also I know that in LA in the Pasadena Area the LA Metro was expanding a light rail line from I-210 to Arcadia.

It is cheaper 95% of the time to take public transit if you live in a city, or in the suburbs. If i want to go to the sights in philly i would have to pay for gas+ 2-5bucks for a toll bridge, then parking. Versus driving to a park and ride station (free parking waaay outside of the city) 3 bucks round trip to get down to the transfer station, and 4 buck round trip on a train into center city

Also in some cities like San Francisco and New York Public Transit is the primary way to go places. I know that VTA and Bart Agreed to expand the Bart Line to San Jose. I support the diversity of options for transit. Even though I drive a car now I support Public Transit too. People need to stop segregating Public Transit and cars and 2 different things.
