I-35/Lone Elm Road now open

By the time I am typing this, KDOT will have officially opened the I-35/Lone Elm Road interchange.

Here's a quick blurb from KMBZ:

Today marks the final morning rush hour where motorists won't be able to fully access the interstate from Lone Elm Road in Olathe. Beginning at 10 a.m., that will all change as the long anticipated, $67 million Lone Elm/I-35 interchange officially opens. It's been in the works since 2003, and while it will relieve traffic at the already congested 151st street interchange, it will also create investment and thousands of jobs. In fact, the city expects it could bring up to 5,000 jobs to that part of the metro.
