For the other end of 11, plus the other two trans-provincial highways (17 and 401), it remains to be seen. We'll see how this one goes over I guess.

I'm pretty sure there's a sign eastbound on the New York State Thruway (I-90) near the Pa. border that says, among other things, "New York 490"

To the best of my knowledge I've only seen that on the NYS Thruway. The Thruway Authority often has its own opinion as to what the standard should be.

I was playing with Google Street View and found this sign near Magadan giving the distance to Yakutsk via the "Road of Bones." It made me think of this thread.
