Mr. Hooper = CC Slater (can't locate him on here, but he has to be)

To my knowledge, he's NOT here: his interests have led him in a different direction lately.

Irrelevant. He fits the role all the same and a roadgeek is a roadgeek whether or not they have an account here.
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Had to look this one up. Having never watched Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, I will admit that my apparent fate seems pretty awful (after reading the Wiki about the character). http://sweeneytodd.wikia.com/wiki/Beadle_Bamford

Note that Swedish Chef, Fozzie Bear, and Miss Piggy were not part of Sesame Street - they were created years later for The Muppet Show.

To my knowledge, he's NOT here: his interests have led him in a different direction lately.

Since Mr. Hooper died many years ago, would that not make it all the more appropriate?
"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."

commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"

Except I am 3/4 Finnish!  ;-)

Wouldn't that be like casting a Canadian for a USican role?  Not a lot of people are going to notice.

Depends. Finns generally look very Nordic, because they are, even though the Finnish language (of the Finno-Ugric language family, related to Estonian and more-distantly to Hungarian) has effectively no relationship at all with any of the Indo-European languages.

Finnish uses the Latin character set because it was first put in writing in the 19th century by people tha spoke Swedish (and probably German and Latin).

Mr Hooper? Really? Can you imagine the amount of feathers and birdseed I'd have to clean up?
