Anybody know of any states that have many cities the same names as large/fairly-sized cities from another? For example, Georgia has four cities named Nashville, Knoxville, Bristol, and Jackson, which are all large and fairly-sized cities in Tennessee.

There's a George Jones song ("We're Not the Jet Set") that always trips me up mentally. It mentions "Rome, Georgia; Athens, Texas; and Paris, Tennessee", which are never the cities my brain wants to hear. Seems to me it should be Athens, Georgia; Paris, Texas; and Rome, well, also Georgia.  :)

Massachusetts also has a relatively important one of these...

Oh, and we've made it surprisingly far in this thread without hearing from Charleston, SC/WV!

Seems like just about everyone has a Springfield: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springfield

But only one of them is a cesspit of evil that makes Mr. Burns look good.  Take a guess as it which one.  Hint: It's the only one that's a state capital.

Still, Springfield probably wins with 150000 from both MO and MA.
