Some new ends from last week's trip to Duluth (click to see full size):

The north end of Interstate 35 (grrr stupid dashboard reflections in the windshield)

Going the other way, the south end of MN-61

The south end of I-535 in Superior, Wisconsin

And the nearby end of WI-35

West end of MN-194 west of Hermantown

Here are two taken today:

Waterloo RR 9 at the Perth County line

Huron CR 17 at CR 15 (note the serif fonts)

End signs are rare in Arkansas. They are usually only posted when the road that the route that ends is signed on continues in the same direction. Here are a few, mostly taken back in the 1990s. Some of them are probably gone by now.

Here are some more, from assorted states:

More ends from last month:

The double end of IA-122/Business US-18 in Clear Lake

A new End sign for East MN-123 at MN-23. Before the resigning project on MN-123 in October, there was not an END sign here. There still isn't an end sign at the west end.

The east end of MN-18 at MN-23 west of Sandstone

The east end of MN-27 east of Moose Lake at I-35

Lastly, the south end of MN-33 coming up to the interchange with I-35 south of Cloquet

Whoa! I have never seen an Indiana shield like that, is there a story to it or anything?

Actually I'm kind of curious, it definitely is shaped like an original Indiana State Highway shield but is on a modern blank.  I've never seen another like it and the other 49s I passed were the standard spec.  I'm glad that I had the presence of mind to take a picture because I almost missed it.  The first southbound out of the Indiana Dunes was like that also.

That DETOUR tab in the MN 1 picture has been there for years. MnDOT never took it down when they finished that MN 61 project.
