Does I-229 still turn into a dirt road?
« on: April 20, 2010, 01:21:54 AM »

About 10 years ago I-229 in South Dakota turned into a dirt road just north of its interchange with I-90.  I was in Sioux Falls last year but didn't have time to check it out. Is that road paved now?

Was fully paved when I drove there in May 2007.

I drove it in Dec '07 and it looked like it petered out to dirt after a few hundred feet.

Looking southbound - the lights in the distance are the 229/90 junction.

maybe it was just plowed so poorly that I thought it was dirt at night in the snow?
