Houston's Westpark Tollway in need of $3 million overhaul
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:52:26 PM »

Harris County's newest tollway is in need of a $3 million overhaul to repair drainage issues. This comes only a month after a $2 million plan to fix gaping holes on another section was approved. Westpark might be closed for awhile during the summer.

This article from CBS affiliate KHOU explains more:

That tollway was built on very short right-of-way; only 50 of 100 feet!   The other half is reserved for a future METRO light rail line.  I really wish wish that HCTRA could have used all of the 100-foot ROW to build the Westpark Tollway.
