I think this was NC 281.  If not, it was in that general area.

All these have been my Facebook cover photo at one point:

I actually have a road photo that I could consider good.

The upper deck of Oriole Park in Baltimore. You can see much of I-395 from here.

Same spot after the game.

Finally, East Broad Street in downtown Richmond. Where I am isn't numbered anything anymore, but by the time it comes back uphill it's US 250.

One of those signs you snapped looked familiar. Recognize this one? Ha ha! :)

Here's a classic found in Beloit, Wisconsin

Sorry about poor quality. I was driving my 18 wheeler and could not find a place to pull over to get a better shot.

Ha. Don't be too impressed, I was stopped at a stop light.  I had to zoom in my camera-phone as much as possible to get that shot.

Some of my favorite vacation piccys over the past few years....

Old Lyme CT, US 1/I-95

Near Winchedon MA (I am told this classic old sign is gone now)

A classic Connecticut sign (and one of my favorite non-route signs)

The Hudson River, off US 6-202 near Bear Mountain NY

Old PA marker, US 202

Also on US 202

Same barn on US 30 in PA

Bear Mountain Toll booth...very old-fashioned and quaint...i love it!

Blue Water Bridge, looking east into Point Edward, Ontario.

Chain of Rocks Bridge (old) with I-270 in the background.

Southbound, IL-115 and IL-116.  You can see for miles.

Michigan Avenue Bridge from a boat on the Chicago River.

Jefferson Street Bridge, Joliet.

Northbound, IL-29, railroad viaducts, Chillicothe, IL.

The intersection near my house after the big snow in 2011.

Hana Highway, Maui County, Hawai'i.

Portage Lake Lift Bridge, Houghton & Hancock, MI.  Shot from Chutes & Ladders (park) on the Houghton side.

In chronological order,

Located along OR-6 in Tillamook.

I-5 north in Portland from the Morrison Bridge onramp. (On another note, does that blank electronic sign happen to be one of those new variable speed limit signs in Portland?)

I-5 north looking toward downtown Seattle during sunset.

Daryl, I do believe they are the new variable speed limit signs being installed in Portland after being successfully trialed in Seattle. They are discussed in this topic:

Yeah, I think it's the only time I shot at 210mm while at the helm. Only 3 out of 8 were in focus...the sun sets quickly when it's that low on the horizon.

and how much did you crop?  my 200mm has the sun appear about 1/2 that big when a photo is taken on a DX sensor.
