Business Loop I-55 - Bloomington-Normal

Following Veterans Parkway, Business Loop I-55 follows the final alignment that U.S. 66 took before its 1979-decommissioning in the state of Illinois. Starting at the I-55 & 74 south split interchange, Business Loop I-55 follows Veterans Parkway northeast through the suburban south side of Bloomington to a diamond interchange with U.S. 51 Business (Main Street). U.S. 51 Business leads north to both Downtown Bloomington and Normal.

Veterans Parkway stays east of the central portions of both cities as a commercial arterial by Eastland Mall and the Shoppes at College Hills among other retail areas. The route concludes at Exit 167 of I-55, just north of the original U.S. 66 alignment of Shelbourne Drive.
