Hayne Boulevard becomes unsigned LA 47 east from Downman Road. Downman Road connects the arterial with New Orleans Lakefront Airport (NEW) to the north and I-10 west to the south. 06/09/10

Entering the systems interchange with Interstate 10, LA 47 (Paris Road) first meets the unnumbered westbound ramp to Downtown New Orleans. 04/20/12
I-510/LA 47 south at the loop ramp (Exit 1A) for Interstate 10 east. I-10 travels twenty miles to the exchange with I-20 west and I-59 north at Slidell, and 27 miles to the Mississippi state line. 04/20/12
The former Six Flags New Orleans amusement park lies southeast of the I-10/510 exchange at New Orleans East. The park, opened in 2000 as Jazz Land, closed for good as flood waters inundated the facility for weeks during September 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina. Costs to repair damage and reopen the park were determined to be prohibitively high and the facility has remained abandoned. Some discussion in 2012 involved the redevelopment of the 100-acre park into an outlet mall. 04/20/12

Exit 1 B departs I-510/LA 47 south for Lake Forest Boulevard. Lake Forest Boulevard ends at Michoud Boulevard to the east and intersects Bullard Avenue beyond the Eastover community to the west. 04/20/12
A frontage road system accompanies I-510/LA 47 southward from Interstate 10 to U.S. 90 (Chef Menteur Highway). The companion roads are signed as Paris Road and represent portions of the original LA 47 alignment. 04/20/12

Exit 2A departs for U.S. 90 (Chef Menteur Highway). Chef Menteur Highway comprises a four lane surface arterial through New Orleans East. U.S. 90 follows the highway west from the Rigolets to the Gentilly neighborhood of central New Orleans. 04/20/12
A six-ramp parclo interchange (Exit 2 A) joins I-510/LA 47 with U.S. 90 (Chef Menteur Highway). U.S. 90 travels west 4.3 miles to meet Interstate 10 (Exit 249B) ahead of a bridge across the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal. Eastward U.S. 90 continues 6.3 miles to meet U.S. 11 at Powers Junction. 04/20/12
I-510/LA 47 continue south a short distance to the diamond interchange (Exit 2 C) for Almonaster Boulevard and Old Gentilly Road. The exchange lies just north of the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge along LA 47. Paris Road runs along the western frontage between U.S. 90 (Chef Menteur Highway) and Almonaster Boulevard. 04/20/12
Exit 2C serves the NASA Michoud facility located to the east along Old Gentilly Road, beyond the Almonaster Boulevard end. Old Gentilly Road continues to Folger's New Orleans plant, which is their largest coffee production facility in the United States. The roadway represents the original alignment of U.S. 90. 04/20/12
Interstate 510 concludes at the Exit 2C ramp departure to Almonaster Boulevard. Almonaster Boulevard travels west to the New orleans Business & Industrial District and Jourdan Road. Eastward the road ends at U.S. 90. 04/20/12

LA 47 continues south from Almonaster Avenue onto the Intracoastal Water Bridge. The high arch bridge spans the waterway at height of 135 feet. 11/18/08

Forthcoming LA 39 (Judge Perez Drive) provides one of two routes southeast from New Orleans to St. Bernard Parish, with LA 46 being the other. LA 39 constitutes a four lane divided roadway southeast from Chalmette to Mereux and the switch with LA 46 near Poydras. 12/20/07
LA 47 (Paris Road) continues south to LA 46 (St. Bernard Highway) and the Chalmette Ferry Dock. LA 39 west continues to the 9th Ward in New Orleans and ultimately Interstate 10. 12/20/07
