336.00 miles in length, the majority of Alabama State Route 13 is the unmarked counterpart of U.S. 43 from Prichard to the Tennessee state line north of Killen. An independent section of SR 13 travels east of U.S. 43 from near Berry in Fayette County to Franklin County north of Phil Campbell. SR 13 provides a more direct route from Tuscaloosa north to Russellville and the Shoals are over U.S. 43 which loops west to Winfield, Guin and Hamilton. SR 13 links the small towns of Eldridge, Natural Bridge and Bear Creek with Haleville.
