North Carolina 24 & 27

North Carolina 24 & 27 share 108 miles of pavement through the south central part of the state. The tandem generally travel a rural path, cutting a swath through Uwharrie National Forest on one stretch. Westward toward Charlotte, the highways follow a four-lane route from Albemarle to Mint Hill.

U.S. 117 continues north from Magnolia to Exit 369 and three miles directly into Warsaw. This is the final meeting with Interstate 40. Photo taken 06/01/05.
North Carolina 24 splits with Interstate 40 west for its original route west to Turkey, Elliott, and Clinton.
