Known as Jacob Tome Memorial Highway, Maryland Route 276 links the towns of Port Deposit and Rising Sun in northwestern Cecil County. The 7.85 mile long route climbs northeast from the Susquehanna River alongside the former Bainbridge Naval Training Center to MD 275 (Perrylawn Drive) near Woodlawn. North from there, MD 276 turns north to West Nottingham, Harrisville and U.S. 1 (Conowingo Road).

MD 276 north
MD 276 (Center Street) begins at the intersection of MD 222 (Main Street) and Rowland Drive in Port Deposit. The state route rises out of the Susquehanna Valley to Woodlawn. An I-95 trailblazer directs drivers from Rowland Drive onto MD 222 south toward Perryville. 03/28/04
MD 276 (Jabob Tome Memorial Highway) rises 270 feet in elevation over the mile leading out of Port Deposit. 03/28/04
Leaving the Susquehanna River valley, MD 276 approaches MD 275 (Perrylawn Drive). MD 275 to MD 276 links I-95 and U.S. 40 with U.S. 1 at Rising Sun and U.S. 222 at Conowingo. 03/28/04
MD 275 (Perrylawn Drive) north ends at Jacob Tome Memorial Highway. The old truck route for MD 222 overlapped with MD 276 north 5,6 miles from MD 275 to U.S. 1 outside Rising Sun. 03/28/04
The final confirming marker for MD 276 north stands beyond the roundabout with MD 273 (Rising Sun Road) at Harrisville. 07/25/04
West Pearl Street connects with MD 276 (Jacob Tome Memorial Highway) from Downtown Rising Sun just ahead of U.S. 1 (Conowingo Road). Slicers Mill Road extends north from the forthcoming intersection with Conowingo Road. 07/25/04
MD 222 Truck formerly turned west alongside U.S. 1 (Conowingo Road) south to connect with U.S. 222 at Conowingo. 07/25/04
U.S. 1 north travels 3.1 miles to Sylmar and the Pennsylvania state line. Heading southwest, U.S. 1 continues 4.7 miles west to U.S. 222 at Kilby Corner. 07/25/04
MD 276 south
The first MD 276 shield appears along Jacob Tome Memorial Highway south just beyond U.S. 1 (Conowingo Road) and Slicers Mill Road. West Pearl Street arcs east from this stretch into Rising Sun. 04/30/04
A roundabout joins MD 276 (Jacob Tome Memorial Highway) with MD 273 (Rising Sun Road). MD 273 is the main route between U.S. 1 and the city of Newark, Delaware. The highway follows Main Street through Downtown Rising Sun to the east. 08/11/05
Construction of the roundabout at MD 273 and 276 took place in 2003-04. This was the second roundabout built in Cecil County. Completed in 1996, the first is located at MD 213 and Leeds Road near Cherry Hill. 03/02/04
MD 276 (Jacob Tome Memorial Highway) advances 5.1 miles south from MD 273 to MD 275 (Perrylawn Drive). Providing an alternate route to Port Deposit, Liberty Grove Road (former MD 269) lies 1.5 miles ahead at West Nottingham. 07/25/04
Curving southwest through Woodlawn, MD 276 (Jacob Tome Memorial Highway) approaches MD 275 (Perrylawn Drive). 07/25/04
MD 275 travels 2.22 miles southward along Perrylawn Drive to MD 222 and MD 824 (Bainbridge Road) near Perryville and I-95. MD 276 continues another 2.1 miles to Port Deposit along the Susquehanna River. 03/02/04
Descending into Port Deposit, MD 276 follows Center Street to conclude at MD 222 (Main Street) and Rowland Drive. 03/02/04
