Nearing the split with MD 213 (College Drive) north from MD 662 north at Wye Mills. The forthcoming intersection represents the original end of U.S. 213 when U.S. 50 was extended east to Ocean City. 08/27/05
MD 213 leads north to the Queen Annes County seat of Centreville and to U.S. 301 north to Wilmington. It is also the preferred route to U.S. 50 (Ocean Gateway) west to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. 08/27/05

Maryland Route 662 South
Four segments of MD 662 exist parallel to U.S. 50 within Queen Annes and Talbot Counties. The northern most segment represents original U.S. 50 (and U.S. 213 before that) as it loops 4.43 miles through the town of Wye Mills. 08/27/05

MD 213 shield assembly at the MD 662 (Wye Mills Road) south intersection with College Drive north. MD 213 travels 68.25 miles from here to the Pennsylvania state line north of Elkton. 08/27/05
MD 662 crosses the Wye East River and enters Talbot County on the approach to MD 404 (Queen Anne Highway) east. Beach goers from Washington and Baltimore bound for the Delaware coastline are likely very familiar with multi-state route 404. However the route sees a quiet beginning here in the hamlet of Wye Mills. 08/27/05
MD 404 stretches 24.61 miles from Wye Mills to the Delaware state line southeast of Denton and northwest of Bridgeville. The route straddles the Queen Annes and Talbot County lines to Tuckahoe Creek (Caroline County). 08/27/05
