An $83 million project2 underway from 2014 to March 2018 reconstructed Gandy Boulevard into a limited access highway from SR 687 (4th Street N) to I-275. The arterial was rebuilt with frontage roads to 4th Street N, SR 686, CR 803 and 94th Avenue N and elevated lanes for SR 694 westbound. 04/21/18
SR 694 (Gandy Boulevard) leads directly to an on-ramp for I-275 south. There is no northbound entrance ramp there, so motorists are instead directed onto SR 687 (4th Street N) north to the Howard Frankland Bridge. 05/25/19
U.S. 92 exits Gandy Boulevard (SR 694) westbound and joins the north side frontage road to 4th Street N (SR 687). Unmarked SR 600 ends here while SR 686 follows nearby Roosevelt Boulevard northwest to St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). 04/21/18
U.S. 92 combines with SR 687 along 4th Street N southbound to Downtown St. Petersburg. SR 686 branches northwest to Highpoint, Largo and Clearwater. 62nd Avenue N (CR 216) constitutes a busy arterial between the Fossil Park and Edgemoor neighborhoods west to U.S. 19 (34th Street N) at Pinellas Park. East of U.S. 92/SR 687, 62nd Avenue NE extends to Bayou Grande. 10/07/15

An I-275 trailblazer directs motorists onto 54th Avenue N (CR 202) west to a six-ramp parclo interchange with the freeway at the Grovemont neighborhood. 54th Avenue N connects St. Petersburg with unincorporated Lealman as a four to five lane arterial. 10/07/15

4th Street N reaches the Historic Uptown neighborhood at 9th Avenue N. 9th Avenue N travels east to North Shore Park and west to Kenwood beyond I-275. 10/07/15
This assembly referenced upcoming SR 595 where U.S. 92 ends at 5th Avenue N. SR 595 is the state road counterpart to U.S. 19 Alternate throughout Pinellas County. 07/30/06
The SR 595 shield at 6th Avenue N was replaced with a new assembly just ahead of 5th Avenue N for U.S. 19 Alternate. U.S. 19 Alternate shares an end point with U.S. 92 as 4th Street N becomes a one way southbound at 5th Avenue westbound. 10/07/15
The end of U.S. 92 is unmarked as SR 687 extends south from 5th Avenue N into Downtown St. Petersburg. U.S. 19 Alternate parallels I-375 to a half diamond interchange with I-275 and through Historic Kenwood to U.S. 19 (34th Street N). Historically U.S. 19 followed this route until it was lengthened south to Palmetto. 10/07/15
