U.S. 190 West
The junction between U.S. 61 & 190 (Airline Highway) and Interstate 110 in Baton Rouge constitutes a four-level symmetrical stack interchange. Pictured here is the flyover split of ramps for Interstate 110 north and south from the Airline Highway westbound. 08/12/02
U.S. 61 north & 190 westbound split at an antiquated cloverleaf interchange between Airline and Scenic Highways in north Baton Rouge. U.S. 61 overtakes Scenic Highway northward from the Business route pair of U.S. 61 & 190 northward two miles to Scotlandville and the end of Interstate 110. U.S. 190 continues westward along Airline Highway to the Mississippi River Bridge. 08/12/02
This suite of photos displays U.S. 190 westbound at the Mississippi River Bridge between Baton Rouge and Port Allen. A Union Pacific Railroad line shares the bridge with four overall travel lanes. The trestle requires a more gradual ascent to the bridge and thus begins well ahead of the actual river span. 08/12/02
