U.S. 411 angles northeast from U.S. 78 in Leeds to Ashville, Rainbow City, Gadsden and Leesburg. East across Weiss Lake, U.S. 411 concludes an 86.8 mile route through Alabama east of Centre and west of Cave Spring, Georgia.

The 4.55 mile long Centre bypass was completed in 1990. U.S. 411 shifted away from the city center to the north, with Main Street redesignated as U.S. 411 Business, per approval by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) on June 2, 1990.

U.S. 411 North
9th Street north at U.S. 78/SR 25 (Parkway Drive) and the south end of U.S. 411 in Downtown Leeds. U.S. 411 follows 9th Street NE two blocks to an at-grade crossing with the Norfolk Southern Railroad. 09/29/03
U.S. 411 turns northeast onto Ashville Road from Whitmire Street in Leeds. This vintage shield preceded the signalized turn by mile marker 170. 09/29/03
U.S. 411 South
U.S. 411 turns south onto Whitmire Street toward Downtown Leeds from Asheville Road. Ashville Road continues southwest to U.S. 78 at SR 119, a state route connecting with suburban areas in Shelby County. 09/29/03
The final confirming marker for U.S. 411 south appeared along Whitmire Street just beyond Ashville Road. It was removed after 2008. 09/29/03
Crossing a Norfolk Southern Railroad, U.S. 411 (9th Street NE) intersects Railroad Avenue, the truck route for U.S. 78 around Downtown Leeds. 09/29/03
