The Roads of Metropolitan New York City and Long Island (Steve Anderson). Steve has put together a great history and guide about the interesting yet troubled expressway and parkway system in New York City. He tells us definitively whether I-878 still really exists (with a photograph, no less!), shows us some of the grandiose plans for bridges across the Long Island Sound, and explains the aborted attempts to route I-78 and I-495 freeways across Manhattan. This is a very good site with lots of history and information about yesteryear's Bud Shuster: Robert Moses. (Or is Bud Shuster today's Robert Moses?)
