U.S. 58 is a major east-west highway that spans the southern tier of Virginia. Originating near Cumberland Gap at the Tennessee/Virginia State Line, U.S. 58 closely parallels the southern border of Virginia east to Virginia Beach, serving such disparate locations as Bristol, Danville, Emporia, Suffolk, and Norfolk.
