| The collector/distributor roadway to Interstate 64 west and U.S. 60 (Williamsburg Road) departs the Interstate 295 mainline. A cloverleaf ramp to Interstate 64 eastbound originally handled the movements between Interstate 295 south via the c/d roadway. In 2000-01 construction resulted in a new two-lane ramp for the movement from Interstate 295 south to Interstate 64 east. The ramp provides part of the route between the Baltimore-Washington (pop. 7,608,070) and Hampton Roads (pop. 1,569,541) metropolitan areas.
