Maryland 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway)

Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Route 295) North
After the Maryland 410/East-West Highway interchange, the next exit along northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway (sometimes referred to as Route 295, even though this section of freeway is maintained by the National Park Service, does not have a numerical designation, and is not an official Maryland State Route) is the junction with the Capital Beltway, Interstate 95 and Interstate 495. Photo taken 06/07/04.
Interstate 95/495 follow the inner loop of the Capital Beltway south toward Alexandria and Richmond, Virginia and the outer loop of the Capital Beltway northwest toward College Park, Silver Spring, and Baltimore. Unlike most signs on the Parkway, these signs are standard green and white, unlike most other exits, which feature brown and white signs with the National Park Service font. Photo taken 06/07/04.
Northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Route 295) reaches the exit for the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway, Interstate 95 North to Baltimore (yes, the Parkway also goes to Baltimore) and Interstate 495 west to College Park. Photo taken 06/07/04.
The next exit along northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Route 295) is the exit for Maryland 193/Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt; Maryland 193 heads west to College Park and east to Glen Dale. Photo taken 06/07/04.

The four-lane freeway travels through the military installation as a recently upgraded freeway. A traffic light midway between Maryland 295 and the Maples Road exit was replaced with an interchange in 2004. Photo taken 10/02/04.
Maryland 32 westbound migrates northwest to Annapolis Junction, Savage, Columbia, and Sykesville. The Patuxent Freeway sees full interchanges with both Interstate 95 and the U.S. 29 freeway before concluding at Maryland 109 (Clarksville Pike). Photo taken 10/02/04.
The next exit along northbound is Junction Maryland 198/Fort Meade Road to Maryland 23 east, followed by Junction Maryland 32 west. Neither of these exits are profiled here. Following those two exits, the next exit is for Maryland 175/Annapolis Road. Photo taken 06/07/04.
