Interstate 70 eastbound on the approach to the split with Interstate 470 at Exit 219 outside of St. Clairsville. Interstate 470 provides the through route for traffic interests east to Washington, Pennsylvania in lieu of downtown Wheeling. A diamond interchange handles the movements between Belmont County 214 (Rock Mount Road) and Interstate 70 at Exit 220. Rock Mount Road ends at U.S. 40 (National Road) just north of Interstate 70.
