Interstate 275 - Indiana

Interstate 275 North
The only interchange within the Hoosier State of Interstate 275 joins the beltway with U.S. 50 and Indiana 1 at the county seat of Lawrenceburg. U.S. 50 enters Lawrenceburg from Aurora to the southwest. Photo taken 11/14/04.

U.S. 50 is an almost transcontinental route joining Sacramento, California with Ocean City, Maryland. The highway originally traveled as far west as San Francisco, California. Within Indiana, U.S. 50 travels a rural trek between Vincennes and Lawrenceburg. Eastward the highway enters Cincinnati along the Ohio River. Photo taken 11/14/04.
Indiana 1 leads north from Lawrenceburg to the Perfect North Slopes Ski Area and Guilford. Both Lawrenceburg and Rising Sun are home to riverboats casinos along the Ohio River. Lawrenceburg itself was settled in the 1700s and became the county seat in 1803. Photo taken 11/14/04.

A two-lane turn lane connects U.S. 50 east from Lawrenceburg to the Interstate 275 beltway. Interstate 275 south heads toward Covington and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport while the freeway north provides the most direct route to Cincinnati. Photo taken 11/14/04.
Heading east along the access road from U.S. 50 (Eads Parkway) and Indiana 1 (Belleview Avenue) to the Interstate 275 trumpet interchange at Exit 16.
