U.S. 50 is an almost transcontinental route joining Sacramento, California with Ocean City, Maryland. The highway originally traveled as far west as San Francisco, California. Within Indiana, U.S. 50 travels a rural trek between Vincennes and Lawrenceburg. Eastward the highway enters Cincinnati along the Ohio River. Photo taken 11/14/04. |

Indiana 1 leads north from Lawrenceburg to the Perfect North Slopes Ski Area and Guilford. Both Lawrenceburg and Rising Sun are home to riverboats casinos along the Ohio River. Lawrenceburg itself was settled in the 1700s and became the county seat in 1803. Photo taken 11/14/04. |
