South Dakota 42, Business Spur I-29, Business Loop I-229 East

Business Spur Interstate 29 & South Dakota 42 East
South Dakota 42 gains Business Spur Interstate 29 east from its SPUI with Interstate 29 (Exit 79) in west Sioux Falls. The two continue along a busy commercial arterial to the Big Sioux River. The reassurance shield is signed as a trailblazer, even though it is posted on 12th Street east, because in 2006 the state highway and South Dakota 115 were turned over to the city of Sioux Falls within its limits. Thus Business Spur Interstate 29 & South Dakota 42 technically do not exist, even though signage remains along 12th Street. Photo taken 04/20/07.
