| U.S. 40 New Jersey cutout shield that was posted at the foot of the Delaware Memorial Bridge westbound span on Interstate 295 south & U.S. 40 west. Opened September of 1968 to coincide with the 1951-opened northbound span, the Delaware Memorial Bridge twin span composes the longest suspension bridge pair in the world. Unfortunately both U.S. 40 cutouts posted on the southbound approach were removed a long time ago. Photo taken 03/95.
