| Approaching the eastern terminus of Pennsylvania 283. The ramp to westbound U.S. 30 was added to the freeway with the widening/upgrade of the Lancaster Bypass. This project was underway between 1999 and 2002. Before Pennsylvania 283 was upgraded to modern standards, the freeway consisted of four narrow lanes with a metal guard rail for a median.
